Our slow living candles are born from that same spirit: made for those who crave stillness, softness, and space to simply be. This isn’t just a philosophy we adopted. It’s a value that grew from our own lived experience.

Born from Experience, Built with Intention

rae & daunder began with a personal journey, one shaped by chronic illness and the limitations it brought into our daily lives. During some of our hardest seasons, we searched for comfort, calm, and clean living and quickly discovered how difficult it was to find products that aligned with what we truly needed.

Fragrance often triggered symptoms. Ingredient lists were vague. Many candles on the market felt like they were designed for aesthetics alone, not for actual well-being.

So we decided to create our own.

What started as a deeply personal solution became something much bigger: a small-batch candle brand rooted in care, clarity, and creativity.

Freedom to Follow Passion

We didn’t come into this as entrepreneurs first we came as people who needed something better. Something thoughtful. Something safe. That need became our passion.

Following that passion meant learning everything from scratch, testing formulas tirelessly, and pouring not just wax, but energy and care into every single jar. It also meant building a brand that others like us could trust, a space where scent could be a source of healing, not harm.

Chronic illness forced us to slow down. In doing so, we discovered the power of balance and the beauty of embracing a gentler rhythm.
